ANTH201 Sex, Self, and Society: Anthropology of Human Sexuality

This course explores human sexuality in cross-cultural perspective. Students will consider the interplay between biology and culture that underlies human behavior, with a particular emphasis on culture. A variety of ethnographic materials will be used to demonstrate the significant role played by culture in the patterning of sexual ideas and behavior around the world.
