WGS201 Introduction to Women's and Gender Studies

Students are introduced to the interdisciplinary field of Women's Studies. Students explore ways in which sex and gender are used in social, cultural, and political contexts. Students dissect the social construction of gender and will analyze and critique gendered experiences. In addition, students study interlocking systems of oppression such as homophobia/heterosexism, racism, classism, sexism, and ableism.
