Application Procedure
All students should apply for financial assistance beginning October 1, for the following academic year, summer, fall, winter and spring. Students are encouraged to submit either a FAFSA or an Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA) depending on personal circumstance.
Students must be enrolled to receive financial aid. Students may enroll full-time (12+ credits), three-quarter time (9-11 credits), half-time (6-8 credits) or less than half-time (1-5 credits). Credits earned towards a declared program of study will be used in determining a student’s grade level which is used to determine amounts for some types of financial aid. Students who have earned 0-45 credits are considered first-year students. Students who have earned 46 credits and above, and are enrolled in a two-year degree program, are considered second-year students.
