MAS100 Maritime Occupations

Students learn to work safely on the water while demonstrating and applying fundamental skills of good seamanship aboard the college’s training vessel, Forerunner. Students also learn about the maritime environment and how to apply for a Merchant Mariner’s Credential (MMC). This course is appropriate for students who are interested in exploring any maritime occupation on the water, including towing, commercial fishing, passenger vessels, research vessels, and more. This class is also appropriate as an elective for non-maritime students or prospective maritime students. This class is held aboard the training vessel FORERUNNER.
