MAS188 Small Vessel Operations III
Students develop and demonstrate the skills required for safe operation and management of a small vessel. Students conduct drills and inspections as required by USCG Subchapter T regulations and demonstrate vessel handling skills and bridge management strategies. This course builds directly upon the skills learned in MAS 186 and MAS 187 and students will be required to demonstrate competence in those skills. This class is held aboard the training vessel FORERUNNER. Prerequisite: MAS 187 Small Vessel Operations II.
